I am about 1 month and 10 days from my exam and want to start doing daily CARs passages up until then. However, I'm not sure the best way to tackle this. cowboyontherun234. • 3 yr. ago. I do 30 min for three passages. I read for 4 min, do questions for 4. Then move on. The next one is likely longer. So for 3 passages it usually leads to 30 mins. After 3 Passages it's probably been 28 min, so I usually have 2 minutes or so left to check and go back. 8.MCAT CARS Section. The MCAT CARS section is made up of 9 passages, typically between 500 and 600 words. Each passage has 5-7 questions for a total of 53 questions. The section is divided into three categories of critical analysis and reasoning skills, which encompass a vast range of topics in the Humanities and Social Sciences.You can find it free online pretty easily and it is just better than Jack Westin. It's convenient to have JW daily but the logic on his CARS sucks (extremely subjective at times) and doesn't really match the MCAT all that well. I was steadily getting 125-127 on CARS and then I worked on that for a couple of weeks and I just got a 132 on my FL.I thought the Sample test CARS section was so difficult especially with time and always struggle with time on CARS. My strategy normally involves spending significantly more time on the questions to really ensure correct answers, sometimes going back to the passage and spending significant time reading or re-reading the passage.
