In a fair fight I'd say an unnamed Custodes would beat an unnamed Grey Knight, but a sprinkling of plot armour would tip the balance. Due to warp fuckery, 100 Grey Knights could maybe beat 100 Custodes, but the Custodes would bring Sisters of Silence which would tip the balance in the golden boy's favour again.Not outright confirmation, but more evidence. The Custodes are shown to guard a lot of knowledge thats been entirely forgotten outside the walls of the Palace and maybe to know more about the history of the Imperium than most of the High Lords, meaning more than anyone else on Terra. The Grey Knights are pretty awesome in this book.

I mention it because Grey Knights feel like a fun foil to them where as Custodes feel like the antithesis of Harlequins. Basically Harleys deny demons power by having maximum personality whereas the Grey Knights do so by having minimum personality.
