In some mods of the mod there were helis that fly and transmit mayday before they crash and I really hated that feature. If there is a helicopter flying there must be a player controlling it. If there is a message on the radio - a player must be transmitting it. That is what DayZ about. If you want SOS messages - transmit them yourself.My advice would be to open up the iZurvive map and plan a route yourself that has a good number of heli spawns.
