Gently squeeze the tube and apply enough sealant to fill the gap until the gel is level with the windshield glass and frame. Make a smooth line that covers the entire problem area. Use your finger to run along the gap and smooth out the gel that you have applied.Snip the end of the sealant tube at an angle, so that you have an opening 1/8 inch wide. You can reinforce the nozzle for better control. Push the tip of the tube into the space between the windshield glass and rubber weatherstripping. Apply sealer to both inner and outer edges and around molding clips.If you just want to temporarily repair the problem, you can clean the dirt & rust from around the upper and lower edges of the seal and then apply a bead of silicon.
