Jan 29, 2014 · Aug 6, 2015. #1. Hey all, I just wanted to recommend to anyone with a higher mileage TDI (I have 273k on the odo) to change your vacuum lines & brake booster hose! I was having intermittent low boost codes & limp mode over the past year. I assumed it was a gunked turbo, fuel filter or fuel delivery, gunked intake system, air filter, etc.1) Left one hooks to a line that tees, one to a skinny line from the firewall near the heater core and the other part of the tee goes over under the passenger side hood bracket. 2) Center one goes to the PCV on the frivers side valve cover. 3) Right one goes to the brake booster. :gringreen. From what I have read, I know that the egr should not be getting vacuum at idle so I replace the vacuum solenoid as well. I also check the connector for voltage. All good there. After replacing it, I still have the same codes.
